Mission/Goals
INTEGRITY:
The sole purpose of developing this
Stats Tracker
site is to help you identify areas that need improvement and consequently make you a better player.
IT IS NOT
a contest and there are no awards or prizes. We trust that you will enter your actual stats and the integrity of the site depends on using your true scores and stats. We also realize mistakes are made and you will have the ability to change your stats after you have posted them.
SPEED OF PLAY:
When we surveyed our junior members before creating this site there was concern that having juniors keep track of their stats would slow up play.
Speed of Play is a primary concern for ALL our players
and you must develop methods to track your stats that will not slow play. We suggest that you keep your own card and put your putts on each hole and use other marks to indicate fairways hit, greens in regulation and bunkers hit/sand saves.
YOUR INPUT:
We encourage your input to help make this site better or more informative. We plan to have areas where junior can ask questions and make suggestions.
ELIGIBLE EVENTS:
Only events that are approved by your Golf Association are eligible.
Stats/Definitions
Juniors will be tracked based on their age and gender. The following stats and definitions apply:
Birdies/Eagles:
We will track total birdies, eagles and any hole-in-ones. The definition is self explanatory.
Putts:
Putts are defined as any stroke taken on the putting surface. It does not include putts from off the green (fringe, fairway, etc). We will also track chip-ins which is any stroke taken from off the green that goes into the hole.
Fairways Hit:
A Fairway Hit is any first tee shot on a par 4 or par 5 that comes to rest in the closely mown area of the hole you are playing commonly referred to as "fairway".
Greens in Regulation:
A green in regulation is defined as reaching the putting surface in 3 or less shots on a par 5, 2 or less on a par 4 or 1 on a par 3. Your ball must lie on the green and be able to be marked as defined by the rules of golf.
Sand Saves:
A sand save is defined as getting into the hole in 2 or less shots after your ball has come to rest in a green-side bunker.
